The goal of Pure Indian Foods, a family-run business since 1889, is to create fantastic ghee-based products which will ultimately make people love ghee as much in the US as they have for years in India. To ensure this, the team – currently run by husband and wife Sandeep and Nalini Agarwal – starts with grass-fed, pasture raised cows who live far away from any pesticides or GMOs, and whose non-homogenized milk is carefully churned in small batches. Their store has expanded to sell spices, mango puree and other products, but at heart, the Agarwals are, as they put it, Gheeks!
